In addition to performing, teaching is a particular passion of mine!

With piano lessons, I specialize in beginning students, both children and adults, and those who are returning to lessons - having studied music some time in their past. In my studio, I emphasize proper technique, note reading, music theory and ear training. I believe in quickly getting you to play whole pieces, rather than focusing exclusively on exercises. That way, you feel a sense of accomplishment. If you request a certain genre or a particular piece, I work with you to learn some or most of the music, depending on your level. My philosophy as a piano teacher is to nurture your love of music.

With voice lessons, I bring out your voice to its fullest potential, whether you are a beginner, professional, child or adult. I work with artists in opera, musical theatre, pop, and dramatic actors with spoken text, while focusing on warmth and resonance of sound. My philosophy is to develop your voice and make you the best singer you can possibly be. For seasoned professionals working on a show, project or in need of a tune-up, I hone your instrument with individualized, specific techniques to take you to the next level. The relationship I have with my students is based on trust. I make sure that my studio is a safe place to be vulnerable and to explore.

A combination of studying both piano and voice is highly encouraged.
